Is the hotel barrier-free?
Due to the exposed hillside location of the hotel, the entire site is not barrier-free. The hotel ensemble, consisting of five hotel buildings, restaurants, bars, SPA, terraces and function rooms, is accessible from the outside and inside. It should be noted that on 42 hectares of land and hotel area, with a difference in altitude of approx. 40 metres, it is often necessary to walk long distances in order to be able to make use of all the hotel's service amenities. Especially the listed Sengerschloss and the spa area are only accessible via stairs. For this reason, a stay for people with limited mobility can unfortunately only be recommended to a limited extent.
Are parking facilities available?
There are several parking facilities. In our underground garage, parking is charged at € 18,00 per night. Alternatively, free outdoor parking is available according to availability.
Do you have charging facilities for electric cars?
In the lower underground car park of Haus Wallberg as well as in the underground car park of the Alpenchalets, altogether ten charging points with 11 or 22 kW each are available for charging electric cars. The charging of electric cars is currently charged with 1.00 Euro per charged kilowatt hour.
Do you have charging facilities for electric bikes?
In the upper underground car park of Haus Wallberg as well as in the underground car park of the Alpenchalets, ten charging points are available for charging electric bikes as well as a cabinet for charging electric bike batteries.
How far is Tegernsee train station from the hotel?
We recommend taking a cab from Tegernsee train station to the hotel, since by cab the distance is two minutes only. Cab companies charge approximately € 5,00 for this short distance.
Alternatively, you can also walk to the hotel. In this case, it takes about 15 minutes. However, please note that it is quite steep uphill.
Do you offer a shuttle service?
There is no shuttle service offered directly from the hotel. Instead, we work closely with cab companies from Tegernsee valley.
Please note that - especially at peak times (in the evening or on days with events in the area) - the capacity of cabs is limited. Therefore, we ask you to contact the front desk team one day in advance to guarantee a cab order.
Is it possible to rent bikes at the hotel?
You can rent bikes of the brands ‘Cube’ and ‘Bulls’ directly at the front desk to explore the nature around DAS TEGERNSEE. Bicycle baskets and helmets are available also.

Please note that we do not offer bikes for children.
Do you offer childcare?
There is no childcare offered.
Are dogs allowed in the hotel?
Pets are allowed in the rooms after pre-registration, but must be kept on a leash on the entire grounds, indoors and outdoors. We ask for your understanding that animals are not allowed in the restaurants and the spa area. Dogs are allowed on the terrace of Restaurant Senger and in the beer garden.
We charge € 35,00 per dog per night and are happy to provide bowls, a dog blanket and a small surprise for your four-legged friend in the room.
Please note that we reserve the right to charge you for any damage to the furnishings/equipment.
Is there wifi in the rooms?
In the entire hotel you can use wifi free of charge.
Do you provide bathrobes and slippers?
In the room you will find bathrobes for the duration of your stay. In addition, slippers are in each bathrobe - also for private use.
When is the spa area usable?
The use of DAS TEGERNSEE | spa is possible on the day of arrival from 3 p.m. with check-in to your room. On the day of departure, it can be used free of charge until 2 p.m.
Moreover, suite and apartment guests may use the spa area without any restrictions on arrival as well as departure day.
Do all rooms have a lake view?
Some, but not all rooms, suites and apartments are situated facing the lake. In addition to those with lake view, there are some facing the mountains or the courtyard as well.

Are there any rooms with connecting doors?
There are rooms with connecting doors available in Sengerschloss, Alpenchalets as well as Haus Wallberg.

Is smoking allowed in the room?
DAS TEGERNSEE is a complete non-smoking hotel. Therefore, smoking in your room is not permitted. Instead, the balcony/terrace and outdoor areas can be used.
Do you offer breakfast?
Our rich breakfast buffet is included in the room rate. It is served from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Do you offer alternatives for vegans and vegetarians?
Of course, we do offer vegan and vegetarian dishes.

How big is the spa area?
DAS TEGERNSEE | spa offers pure relaxation on more than 2.400 m². It includes a heated indoor and outdoor pool, a unique panorama sauna, three indoor saunas, a steam bath, a fitness lounge with equipment of the brand ‘Precor’, two sun decks, a relaxation room with a cozy fireplace corner as well as a room of silence.
What size is the pool?
The indoor pool measures 8m x 16m, the outdoor pool 7m x 10m.
Both are connected and heated to an average of 32° celsius all year.
How many saunas do you have?
In total there are four saunas and one steam bath:
_Panorama sauna 80°-85°
_Finnish sauna 90°-95°
_Forest sauna 60°-65°
_Bio-Aroma Sauna 55°-60°
_Steam bath 40°-45 (currently not available)
Is the sauna area textile-free?
Yes, the entire sauna area is textile-free.
Do you have a gym?
In our fitness area you can train on equipment of the brand ‘Precor’ while enjoying an unique panoramic view of lake Tegernsee.
On request, we do also offer private training sessions under the guidance of an expert - benefit from a personal trainer for your fitness and endurance or recharge your batteries during one of our yoga classes in the mornings. Are children and teenagers allowed to use the spa area?
If accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times, we welcome children up to and including 12 years from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. in our pool area, on the lower sun terrace and in the indoor saunas. Attention must be paid to a subdued volume.
Young people from 13 up to and including 15 years can use these areas all day.
The quiet zones as well as the textile-free outdoor areas including the panorama sauna are exclusively available to guests aged 16 and over.

When do I pay for my stay?
On site you can pay with EC card, cash or various credit cards (Mastercard and VISA). Alternatively, it is possible to transfer the total or a partial amount in advance. You can find the corresponding bank details in your reservation confirmation.

On the day of departure, you can use it free of charge until 2 p.m.
If you book a suite or an apartment, DAS TEGERNSEE | spa is even available without any restrictions on the day of arrival and departure.
Do I have to pay an extra charge for an additional person in the room?
